Cell Saver is a unique herbal formula designed to nutritionally support normalization of cellular membrane function and cellular detoxification. Long used by the Hoang family of doctors, this synergistic blend utilizes herbs from Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and the herbal tradition of Vietnam. Cell Saver can offer nutritional support for those undergoing oxidative challenge or other conditions of toxicity.

Paeonia lactiflora (Bai Shao or Chinese peony) originated in Siberia, and is found throughout northern Asia. Traditionally the roots were boiled and eaten in broth, and the seeds ground and used in tea. Chinese peony root has been used for centuries in TCM, where it is used to make "Four Things Soup", a female tonic traditionally used for gynecological problems as well as cramping and giddiness. It also is said to help regulate blood pressure, body temperature caused by fever, and premenstrual tension. It is said to pacify the liver and is used to support liver function and to protect against stress ulcers. A key active ingredient is paeoniflorin, which has been shown to have a strong antispasmodic effect on mammalian intestines. Chinese peony helps to alleviate pain, regulate inflammation and control microbial balance.

Atractylodes alba, or Bai Zhu, is a digestive, liver and gall bladder tonic. It is anti-inflammatory and anti-allergenic, as well as supporting detoxification. In TCM, it is thought to support the functions of the stomach and spleen, the organs responsible for food digestion. Its actions also include promotion of phagocytosis, adversely affecting viruses, and nurturing the function of the adrenal cortex. Besides, its use for digestion, traditionally Atractylodes is used for other things including phlegm-retention syndrome and cough.

Momordica conchinchinensis, also called MU Bei Zi, bitter melon or balsam pear, is found throughout Asia and Vietnam, commonly seen growing in gardens with its red fruit and red pulp. It is used in cooking, to make candy and jam, and it thought to support the health of the eyes. More recently it has received attention as part of a program to support knowledge about traditional Vietnamese medicinal herbal mixtures and nutritional practices. In rural Vietnam, vitamin A deficiency is common. Among the indigenous fruits and vegetables, Momordica conchinchinensis fruit has proven to have the highest beta-carotene concentration. Recent research at the University of California, Davis and the University of Hawaii showed it to be a good source of provitamin A carotenoids, especially beneficial for severely anemic children. It also contains lycopene, alpha-tocopherol, vitamin F, and minerals including iron and zinc.

Cudrania tricuspidata, also known as silkworm thorn, is found at east Asia. The fruit is similar to a mulberry, and the leaves are eaten by silk worms. The root has traditionally been used for women's health, to promote lacteal secretion and for amenorrhea. It is also used to eliminate blood stasis and stimulate circulation.

Sophora flavensis (Ku Shen), also from Asia, is an important herb in TCM, where it is used to support the health of the skin and hair, the urinary tract and gastrointestinal tract, and in the treatment of diverse conditions such as jaundice, dysentery, diarrhea, vaginitis, eczema, pruritis, ringworm, scabies and itching allergic reactions. The root is anti-helmintic, antibacterial, antifungal, antipruritic, astringent, bitter, carminative, diuretic, febrifuge and tonic. Preliminary studies show it may inhibit the growth of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Trichomonas vaginities.

Dioscorea oppositifolia (Chinese yam or Shan Yao) tubers are a traditional food source and healing plant in Asia. In TCM, Shan Yao is considered a sweet substance that soothes and stimulates the stomach and spleen and tonifies the lungs and kidneys. It is thought to be digestive and anti-helmintic, and has traditionally been used for energy, to support appetite, digestion and weight gain, and for chornic diarrhea, asthma, dry coughs, frequent or uncontrollable urination, diabetes and emotional instability. Active ingredients include allantoin and diosgenin, and the root is a key ingredient in "the herb of eight ingredients", traditionally used in TCM for hyperthyroidism, nephritis and diabetes.

Suggested Use:
