Liver-Well on Hepatitis

Dr. Shaw on Hepatitis

Hepatitis C & B is a major public health concern. The World Health Organization puts the global incidence of hepatitis C & B at 170 million people infected. It is a source of significant morbidity and mortality, both in the U.S. and around the world. Chronic viral hepatitis C & B exerts a substantial cost on society. Treatment of hepatitis C & B with interferon (IFN), with or without adjunctive therapy, has achieved remission in only a small proportion of patients (response rates being approximately 20% of the patients). Single treatment with IFN has several adverse side effects. The new combination using ribavirin/IFN has been extensively evaluated but still has severe side effects. There are several other therapeutic options as well, but the results have been disappointing.

The challenge of treating chronic hepatitis is to relieve symptoms while minimizing liver damage and improving chances of survival. To date, the use of pharmaceutical drugs have had only partial success. Patients who fail on drug therapy and have progressive liver failure are evaluated for a possible liver transplant to control symptoms.

The "Good News" is that there's a safe, effective alternative. Since 1962, Dr Ba's family of doctors and master herbalists have used natural therapies in their clinical research for hepatitis C & B. Their breakthrough therapy for hepatitis has been developed in Vietnam, Russia and the U.S.A. This natural herbal compound has the following ingredients: Tangkuei, Taraxaci Herba, Eclipta, Phyllanthus, Schizandra and Phellodendron Bark. A supporting herbal compound consisting of Angelica Dong Quai, Andrographis, Lonicera Flower, and Astragalus is also used. These unique herbal combinations have a specific formula and concentration ratio that have proven to be a highly effective and safe formula for those suffering with hepatitis C & B. These herbal compounds are currently sold exclusively through Get Well International* located in San Jose, CA.

The difference between this herbal program and the standard therapy is the focus on the underlying cause of the liver disease. It targets all the major imbalances: viral replication, liver micro-circulation impairment and low immune defense. In comparison to traditional therapy, where the goal is to rid the body of viruses by using anti-viral agents, these unique herbal compounds simply balance the body. A body in balance can suppress viral activity, reverse immune deficiencies and improve liver micro-circulation. Furthermore, a body in a balanced state can protect the liver cells and reduce inflammation.

Results: People in perfect body balance may achieve a significant improvement of their hepatitis-related symptoms (fatigue, nausea, low appetite, pain in the liver area, muscle pain and flu-like symptoms) within one week. At the end of 12 weeks, most of my patients following Dr. Ba's specific herbal compounds report a positive change in liver enzymes. In my studies, there is no one who failed to respond to this program. Even people who were in need of a liver transplant have restored their body balance and liver health.

Summary: The continuing search for more effective modes of therapy for hepatitis C & B bears witness to the considerable imperfection of current therapies. Although it is still not clear that these herbal compounds can achieve the ultimate goal of eradicating all detectable viruses, they have shown remarkable advantages compared to conventional therapies. These compounds have satisfied important goals; a highly effective and safe way for the body to decrease virus levels via enhancing liver health. The compounds have also satisfied the goal of balancing the body thus enabling the body's own mechanisms to control the activity of hepatic inflammation, and to prevent or lessen the progression of hepatic fibrosis and possible liver cancer. The most important factor of course is returning an individual to their healthy productive lives.
