Description

Healthy Prostate and Ovary is an herbal combination that enhances the body's immune system and promotes the health of ovary, prostate, breast and other organs and tissues. It also nutritionally supports the body's own mechanisms that can respond to challenges involving the throat, tonsils, and reproductive system. It has strong detoxifying action that can help relieve fatigue and enhance energy the body needs to restore health.

Astragalus membranaceus (Huang qi or Chinese milk vetch) is a sweet tonic herb, native to northern Chinese highlands. Astragalus was classified as a superior herb in the ancient Chinese medicine treatise, Shen Nong Pen Tsao Ching. It is used traditionally as an adaptogenic herb with immune and tonic properties. It is cardiotonic and especially supportive for immune response involving the lungs. Its adaptogenic properties include increasing stamina, endurance and resistance to cold temperatures. Recent research confirms that astragalus supports immune function, potentially improving recovery from oxidative therapies and extending survival. It also may help regulate blood pressure and blood sugar levels. It contains flavonoids, polysaccharides, amino acids, trace minerals and triterpene glycosides such as the astragalosides I-VII.

Alisma plantago-aquatica (water plantain) is found in the Far East and through Europe. Traditionally it has been used to help regulate blood flow, support healthy blood lipid levels, and as a diuretic. It enhances kidney and liver yin energy and is particularly helpful in balancing hormones.

Crinum latifolium is a traditional Vietnamese herb used by royalty in ancient times to enhance longevity. Its active ingredients include alkaloids, amino acids, steroid saponins and antioxidants. It plays a role in cellular immunity, in the activation of T-lymphocytes. It also supports detoxification, hormone balance, and regulation of inflammation. It is currently used in Vietnam for a wide variety of health benefits, including support of ovary, uterine and prostate function.

Momordica charantia (bitter melon) is used as both food and medicine in the tropics. It possesses a variety of beneficial properties related to detoxification. Used traditionally to help control blood sugar levels, this kidney and liver yin tonic has antibiotic, antiviral, and immuno-regulatory properties. Active ingredients include steroidal saponins, insulin-like peptides, alkaloids, and immune system proteins alpha-momorcharin and beta-momocharin.

Carica papaya (papaw) originated in Central America, but now is found through the world. Many parts of the plant are used traditionally for food and medicine. Traditional healers in Indonesia use papaya leaves for animals after parturition, and to protect humans from malaria. In Peru, the leaf tea is considered digestive, cardiotonic and hypotensive. The leaves contain alkaloids such as carpaine, flavonols, tannins, and enzymes that can support detoxification.

Annona muricata (graviola or soursop) is found through the American tropics. Traditional healers considered graviola leaf extract antispasmodic and hypotensive. It is know to support heart and liver function, the mucous membranes and healthy blood sugar levels. It can have a sedative action, and is considered a nervine. Some of these properties have been verified in extensive modern research going back to the 1940s, and new properties have emerged. Several hundred bioactive annonaceous acetogennis have been isolated from graviola and other members of its species. Certain of these acetogenins are reported to selectively block transfer of ATP to intercellular P-glycoprotein mediated pumps, which are peculiar to the plasma membranes of some aberrant cells. This indicates a potential role for graviola in helping to overcome multi-drug resistance.
